In accordance with IDEA and Utah Special Education Rules, Morgan County School District Special Education Dept. wishes to notify former special education students and parents that the confidential special education records of students who exited the program prior to 2011, or were born prior to 1991 will be destroyed.  If you wish to pick up those records concerning your student, contact Steve Wood at Morgan Middle School   801-829-3467  by June 30, 2016  Thank-you  Morgan County School District.

Attention Child Find

In accordance with Part B requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act 04 and with the Utah State Board of Education Special Education Rules, Morgan School District offers free assessments and evaluation for children, aged birth through 21, who parents, teachers, or others suspect of having a disability.

Morgan School District is committed to ensuring that those students are identified, located, and evaluated, regardless of the severity of the disability, to identify if the student is in need of special education and related services.  This child find requirement and practice also applies to those students enrolled in private schools.

If you suspect that a child who is not receiving special education services is in need of an evaluation to determine if that need exists, please contact Steve Wood, District Special Education Director at 801-829-3467 or the special education teacher at your neighborhood school.
