~ Reading Requirements ~

Students are required to read at least 20 minutes a night, five nights per week. However, our class has a reading activity each month that encourages the children to set goals which will help them complete their book for their monthly book report. Therefore, reading notes will report whether they have completed their reading goal for the week; rather than reporting total minutes read for the week. Reading notes are due on Mondays. Five points will be deducted each day the note is late.

~ Requirements for Book Reports ~

  • The books need to be at least 100 pages long and fit into the categories listed below.
  • Book reports are due on the dates listed. Points are deducted for each day they are late.
  • Book reports are graded on the following items: on time, student's name included, book title, author and neatness.
